Back in the early '50's til her passing in '87 my grandmother lived on the corner of Brighton and Arlington...3 blocks from Moseberth's. As a kid.. I loved to visit with "Mom" as the grandkids called her...and sometimes..when lucky enough to have some pocket change...I'd take the short walk to Moseberth's for a special treat...Moseberth's "FAMOUS FRIED CHICKEN"...and "THE BEST" PORK BBQ sandwich w/slaw AROUND. OK, Now ya got me droolin'...from all the way down here in Florida. Hey, wudja pass me the Texas-Pete plz...? |

As a little girl growing up in the seventies, I was a member of a local Brownie Girl Scout troop. One of my fondest memories is attending our annual Sweetheart Supper with my father and stopping by Moseberth's to pick up a boxed dinner to take to the Supper with us. Spending special time with my dad and getting to eat the best fried chicken in town...it just didn't get any better than that! |
